China. Melodies of an Ordinary Day

On October 14, the exhibition of Moscow photographer Alexei Sobchuk opened in the blue coworking space of the RUDN Scientific Library. The author works in the genre of reportage and humanistic photography

The exposition is dedicated to the everyday life of people of different ages and professions in small towns and villages of China.

At the center of each frame is a person and their personal story, conveyed through sincere, unposed moments.

The author shows the harmonious interweaving of centuries-old traditions and modern reality, revealing the character and rhythm of life in the Chinese provinces.

The exposition includes 50 selected works taken in 2026 during trips through the provinces of Sichuan, Guizhou and Guangxi.

We invite students, teachers and everyone who is close to the language of documentary photography to get acquainted with this visual statement about everyday life — quiet, yet expressive.

📍 Venue: RUDN main building, 6 Miklukho-Maklaya St., blue coworking space, 2nd floor
