Every semester you come to pick up your textbooks and ask questions
We answer the most popular of them
When should I come for textbooks?
Students need to check the schedule on the book distribution day for their academic year. If they come on another day, they will not be able to get any books on that day because we prepare sets for specific academic years on a designated day.
What if I can't come on the scheduled day?
Come on the reserve day for your course, indicated in the "All directions and specialties" section of the schedule. Still can't make it? Remember, electronic versions of textbooks are available on the library website, under "Study" and "Services". See you after the mass distribution!
Where can I find the distribution schedule?
On the board at the library entrance, on our website, or on social media.
How long does the mass distribution last?
One month. From 30.09.2024, the library operates in standard mode, where you can come and get books on any working day.
Can I get other books (not sets) during the mass distribution?
Yes, order books in the RUDN EBS and come pick them up the next day in Hall No. 6, Monday to Thursday from 10:00 – 17:45, and Friday from 10:00 – 16:45 (main building, blue coworking, 2nd floor).
If I don't have a student ID yet, how can I get books?
Show a staff member a photo of your admission order or open the RUDN University app – your student ID number is in your profile.
If I haven't returned borrowed textbooks from the previous semester, will I not be able to borrow a new set?
Please don't do that... But if you return all your debts on the day of receiving new books, you'll get a set. Check your debts in your Personal Cabinet on our website.
Can I return the books of a friend?
Yes.
All textbooks were given out, and I didn't get any. What should I do?
Use our library website. The sections "Studies" and "Services" have databases with electronic editions available.
Are the sets large?
Usually, yes, especially for medical and philology students. Bring a bag, shopper, or suitcase (medical students).
What should I do if I lost a book?
Come to the library or write to us, explain the situation. A librarian will suggest buying a replacement or compensating for the damage caused according to the "Table-scheme for determining the amount of damage".
