Kristina Mirzakhanyan, head of the RUDN University Student Scientific Society, shares her personal list of books that evoke vivid emotions and inspiration in her
These works are not only fascinating, but also make you think about important aspects of life:
- "The Red and the Black" by Frederic Stendhal
A special book for me. The author explores the ambitions and passions of the main character, Julien Sorel, and his complex relationship with society. I was impressed by the deep psychological development of the characters and the exploration of such themes as class, love and social norms. You will find France without romanticization in this book.

2. “Chaos” by Alexander Minasovich Shirvanzade
I will highlight a novel from native Armenian (including Soviet) literature. The author tells about the life of an industrial city and how the struggle of classes and the thirst for money destroy families and moral principles. The main characters go through many tragic trials, and the author deeply explores the reasons for their suffering. I advise you to read this book and immerse yourself in another reality.

3. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
The book is, first of all, unusual. The genre of the book, as is known, is mystical realism, and it evokes different emotions in readers.

4. "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov
In the well-known book, I was especially impressed by the storyline with Woland and his meetings with his contemporaries, as well as the fate of Yeshua Ha-Nozri. This parallel gives the work a multi-layered quality, making one think about the eternal questions of good and evil.

5. "Notre Dame de Paris" by Victor Marie Hugo
An eternal classic and a touching novel about love, fate and social inequality. It is amazing how the cathedral becomes not just a background, but a living character that holds many fates and stories.

I hope this list inspires you to read!
