"It's Hard to Be a God" by the Strugatsky Brothers

Yesterday, a meeting of the book club of the Department of History of Philosophy was held in Hall No. 6 of the scientific library! The meeting was dedicated to the immortal story of the Strugatsky brothers "Hard to be a God".

The book club members and guests of the library shared their impressions of the work. Students and teachers of the university discussed the images of the heroes of the story, the role of history and science, the features of the fantasy genre and numerous literary allusions. The meeting was attended by Anton Viktorovich Molchanova - a publicist, science fiction writer, poet, screenwriter, editor and publisher. Anton Viktorovich told how he met Boris Strugatsky and worked as his literary agent, and also how he worked on the biography of the Strugatskys, which is still the most complete work on the life and work of the writers ("The Strugatsky Brothers", 2008).
