"The Meanings of Russian Culture"

On Wednesday, the presentation of the book by Yuri Dmitrievich Nechiporenko "The Meanings of Russian Culture" took place in the scientific library of RUDN.

Yuri Dmitrievich presented his new collection, which organically combined journalism, literary criticism, memoirs and fiction. His work, which we had the chance to get acquainted with during the organization of the evening, collected many positive reviews, which were voiced during the presentation of the book.

In their speeches, the writer Irina Leonova (Leo Anna), the poetess and literary worker (China) Irina Chudnova, the journalist Denis Zharkikh shared their thoughts on the work of Yuri Nechiporenko and his new book. Yuri Dmitrievich introduced his heroes-artists: Valeria and Natalia Cherkashin, Oksana Lychagina, as well as fellow scientists: the director of the Research Institute of Brain Development and Higher Achievements of RUDN Vera Tolchennikova, bioinformatician Evgeny Korotkov, historian Alan Kasaev. All the guests expressed words of gratitude, support and admiration for the creative and scientific work of Yuri Dmitrievich. They were joined by the voices of the student of the Philological Faculty of Moscow State University Ekaterina Mashkantseva, as well as the staff of the RUDN scientific library.

At the end of the meeting, Yuri Dmitrievich presented the guests of the event with copies of his books. The director of the RUDN scientific library Elena Yuryevna Lotova made the closing speech. She expressed gratitude to the author for holding this amazing event, and also left a wish to continue meetings with people of art and science in the library.
