Patterns of Russian Culture: A Scarf Exhibition at RUDN University

A scarf exhibition, "Traditions and Symbols of Russia," has opened at the RUDN Scientific Library

On October 9, the RUDN University Scientific Library hosted the opening of the "Traditions and Symbols of Russia" scarf exhibition, organized jointly by the RUDN University Scientific Library and the Fashion House of designer Nina Ruchkina. The scarves are dedicated to Russia's cultural heritage and are included in museum collections, souvenir collections, and are also owned by top government officials.

The scarf-painting exhibition is divided into four sections: "Tales and Legends of Russia," "Arts and Crafts of Russia," "State Symbols of Russia," and "Dialogue of Cultures." The works were created by Russian culture promoter Nina Ruchkina and curated by art historian Anastasia Astrakhantseva.

During the opening, guests actively engaged the designer in questions, expressing interest in the history and motifs of the scarves. Participants who answered the most interesting questions received scarves as gifts from the designer.

The designs attracted the attention of not only women but also young people, highlighting the widespread interest in Russia's cultural heritage. We would be glad if you share your opinion and take the survey about the exhibition.
