Best Poets Selected at RUDN
On December 4, the university hosted the final of the Seventh Poets' Tournament, where more than twenty students presented their poems
Participants from different faculties recited poems in Russian, French, and Spanish. The lines were lyrical, sharp, and unexpected.
👩🎓👨🎓The jury included literary figures and philologists:
- Oksana Vasilyevna Razumovskaya - PhD in Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian and Foreign Literature at the Philological Faculty of RUDN
- Vladimir Alekseevich Meskin - Professor of the Department of Russian and Foreign Literature at the Philological Faculty of RUDN
- Vera Vladimirovna Kalmykova - Russian philologist, art critic, poet. Author of books on the history of art and literature.
Their choice was not easy.
Winners according to the jury:
🥇 Olga Vasyarova (Philological Faculty, 4th year)
🥈 Alexander Oganian (Philological Faculty, 4th year)
🥉 Ulyana Nagornova (Philological Faculty, 1st year)
🏆🎖Grigory Sofiysky (Institute of the Russian Language, 2nd year) took the Audience Sympathy Prize and the award for the best poem in a foreign language.
The evening's atmosphere was lively and sincere; guests were entertained by:
🎶 Folk studio "Krapiva" with a fiery "Kalinka" and Vika Markova (MarVi) with original songs
✍ Yuri Vinokurov and Rodion Shafikov (two-time champions of previous tournaments) clashed in a poetic slam, with the outcome decided by the audience.
🎁The audience didn't leave empty-handed either – a prize draw from RUDN's Scientific Library and the "Bukap" electronic library system added excitement.
