What awaits you? The program consists of 16 academic hours (theory + practice). You won't just listen to lectures; you'll actually learn how to work with professional databases.
Format: Online (teleconference) + access to course materials at TUIS Time: Wednesdays at 4:30 PM (April–May)
Content and plan: Lecture 1. Digital services of the scientific library: search, remote access to resources, library website, personal account. Russian-language databases. Lecture 2. Electronic Library Systems: Content and Services for Students. Lecture 3. International Databases. Lecture 4. Dissertation Databases in Russian and Foreign Languages. Lecture 5. Open Access Resources. Lecture 6. Formatting Written Assignments. Bibliographic Managers. Practical training with instructors of the course "Finding Information on a Selected Topic or Final Qualification Thesis Topic," 2 academic hours. Knowledge assessment: completing an assignment on working with authoritative databases. Based on the results, recommendations and advice from the instructors.
